Shahjadpur Police organized a coordination meeting to ensure Sharadiya Durga Puja to be celebrated with dignity, peace and religious harmony.
The meeting took place on Friday afternoon at Shahjadpur Police Station premises in Sirajganj district.
The session was presided over by Additional Superintendent of Police Kamruzzaman, PPM. The welcoming remark was delivered by Shahzadpur Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Aslam Ali.
The meeting was attended by notable local figures, including former BNP president Iqbal Hossain Hiru, organizing secretary Sabuj Hossain, municipal BNP president Emdadul Haque Naushad, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Prof. Mizanur Rahman, Puja Celebration Council president Asim Kumar Saha Bani, general secretary Basudev Dutta and publicity secretary Sagar Basak, along with representatives from various temple committees and other respected community members.
Key topics of discussion included ensuring overall security during the Durga Puja festivities, maintaining law and order and provision of essential services such as electricity, water supply and sanitation at the Puja venues.
Law enforcement officials assured attendees of maximum security at all Puja mandaps and called upon everyone to cooperate fully with the authorities.
The administration urged the public not to spread or react to any rumours during the festival period.
With the joint efforts of all stakeholders, it is hoped that Durga Puja will be celebrated peacefully and successfully across Shahjadpur this year.
