President Mohammed Shahabuddin has summoned the second session of the 12th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) on May 2.

“The session will begin at 5 pm,” a press release of Parliament Secretariat said on Monday.

The President has convened the session exercising the power bestowed upon him as per the Article 72 (1) of the Constitution, it also said.

Earlier on January 30, the 12th parliament went into its first session with a record 62 independent lawmakers, most of whom are Awami League leaders.
