Primary school teachers march towards CA’s residence demanding 10th grade facilities

Teachers of government primary schools started a march towards the Chief Adviser’s residence from Central Shaheed Minar around 4pm Friday to press home their demand of 10th grade pay-scale.

The teachers are currently employed under the 13th grade, which classifies them as blue collar workers and allows only Tk11,000 starting monthly salary. Under the 10th grade, they would get Tk16,000 per month, they claimed.
