A prisoner committed suicide in Sirajganj Jail on Friday.
The victim was identified as Pappu, 32, of Dhanbandhi area in Sirajganj municipality.
Al-Noor-Reza, Jailer of Sirajganj Prison said, Pappu, who had been serving in the jail from May 29 last year in a drug case committed suicide in toilet.
He was taken to Shaheed M Monsur Ali Medical College and Hospital in the town, where the on duty doctors declared him dead.
