Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-8 on Wednesday arrested an accused of rape case from in front of Boroitola Ferry Ghat area in Borguna Sadar upazila.
The arrested was identified as Maleque Fakir, 45, son of late Shamsu Fakir of Meser Shah Road in Mongla Port Pourasava in Bagerhat district. The arrested was also accused of another case filed earlier for raping own daughter.
RAB sources said, Maleque was picked up in a case filed for trying to violate a six year old girl at his house alluring to give her chocolate on March 8 last.
He was also handed over to police after arrest.
