Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-12 forces in a drive at the night of February 14 arrested two drug peddlers along with 51 Kg of hemp from Sayedabad area on the Dhaka-North Bengal highway in Sirajganj Sadar upazila.

The arrestees are Farman Hossain, 40, son of late Abdul Maleque of Muradpur village in Biroil upazila of Dinajpur district and Liton Islam alias Masud, 28, son of Rashidul Islam of Kalikagaon Sukhanpukur village in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila.

During the drive, RAB forces also seized two cell phones, one covered-van and cash Tk 500 from the arrestees’ possession.

Later, the arrested and the seizure goods were handed over to the respective police station and a case was lodged there in this connection.
