Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-12 in an anti-drug drive arrested a female drug trader along with 328 gram of heroin from Hatikumrul area near National Food Village and Highway Restaurant in Sirajganj district early on Thursday.
The arrestee is Sarmin Khatun, 24, wife of Rabiul Islam and daughter of Israil Hossain of Diar Mahabbatpur village in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi district.
Acting on a tip off, a team of RAB-12 conducted an anti drug drive at the mentioned place on the Dhaka-North Bengal highway at around 2:00am on Thursday and recovered the heroin from the possession of the arrestee after a search. Later, the woman was detained in this connection. During the drive, RAB also seized two mobile phones and cash Tk 1000. A case was lodged with the respective Solonga police station in this regard. The arrestee was also handed over to the police for next procedures.
