Since its release, the trailer of the star-studded film Dhurandhar has been generating buzz. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the trailer premiered on 19 November. The film features Ranveer Singh in the lead role, alongside Sara Arjun, who appears opposite him in romantic sequences.

Ranveer , now 40, stars opposite 20-year-old Sara. Commenting on his co-star’s performance, Ranveer said, “Sara has delivered a fantastic performance in this film. Some people may be younger in age, but she has portrayed a very impactful character.”

He added, “It feels as if she was born to act in films. Watching her performance, you would think she has already acted in fifty films. She is exceptionally talented both as an artist and as a person. Among the remarkable actors I have worked with, she is certainly one of them. I genuinely enjoyed working with her.”

Sara previously played the young version of Aishwarya Rai’s character, Nandini, in Mani Ratnam’s period film Ponniyin Selvan. She first drew attention at just four years old in the 2011 Tamil film Deiva Thirumagal, portraying Vikram’s daughter, and later received critical acclaim for her performance in Saivam (2014).

Dhurandhar, written, directed, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, is produced by Zee Studios and B62 Studios. Alongside Ranveer Singh, the film stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, with Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in supporting roles. The film is scheduled for release on 5 December.

According to the production team, Dhurandhar tells the story of unsung heroes—people whose names are unknown and whose deeds are not recorded in history. It aims to highlight the lives of these hidden figures, similar to Aditya Dhar’s previous film Uri.

Since the trailer’s release, the chemistry between Ranveer and Sara has become a major talking point. At the trailer launch event in Mumbai yesterday, Ranveer spoke about working alongside the newcomer, who is two decades his junior.
