The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has withdrawn the expulsion order issued previously against Abdus Razzak Mondal, former General Secretary of Belkuchi Upazila BNP, who was expelled on charges of violating party discipline.
He has also been reinstated as a primary member of the party.
The decision came following the recommendation of Amirul Islam Khan Alim, Assistant Organizing Secretary of the BNP Central Executive Committee for the Rajshahi Division and Convener of the Preparation Committee for the Sirajganj District BNP Conference.
According to an official letter issued from the BNP central office under reference number BNP/General/77/499/2025, the party has informed that the expulsion order has been revoked. The letter, signed by Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, stated that, after reviewing Mondal’s appeal and overall circumstances, the party decided to withdraw the previous disciplinary action. The decision takes immediate effect.
The letter further noted that the central BNP expects Mondal to uphold the party’s ideology, principles, and discipline, and to play a significant role in strengthening and revitalizing organizational activities in the future.
Copies of the decision have also been forwarded to Rajshahi Divisional Organizing Secretary Advocate Syed Shaheen Shawkat, Assistant Organizing Secretary Amirul Islam Khan Alim, AHM Obaidur Rahman Chondon, as well as the President and General Secretary of the Sirajganj District BNP.
News of the withdrawal has sparked enthusiasm among local party leaders and activists. They remarked, “The reinstatement of Razzak Mondal will strengthen unity and further energize the party.”
