Following the fall of the Awami League government, a series of transfers and reshuffles have been initiated across different police units. As part of these changes, Superintendents of Police (SP) in 24 districts have been reassigned this time.
This reshuffle was formalised through a notification issued on Tuesday by the Police-1 branch of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The notification was signed by Deputy Secretary Md Mahabur Rahman Sheikh, by order of the President.
The districts where new SPs have been appointed include Rangpur, Gazipur, Cumilla, Dhaka, Sirajganj, Chattogram, Manikganj, Mymensingh, Gaibandha, Habiganj, Rajshahi, Munshiganj, Sylhet, Narayanganj, Natore, Pabna, Patuakhali, Bagerhat, Kishoreganj, Jhenaidah, Magura, Tangail, Jashore, and Narsingdi.
