BNP Senior Joint Secretary Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi suggested that India, sheltering Sheikh Hasina, seems unable to find stability.

He said: “Fascist Sheikh Hasina is being sheltered by the neighboring country, India, which seems unable to find stability.”

“India is continuously spreading false propaganda, lies, and misinformation against Bangladesh, something no other country in the world is doing,” Rizvi said.

He made these remarks while speaking during a visit to meet the families of martyrs in Badda, Rampura and Banashree on Thursday afternoon.

Rizvi said: “The wave of self-sacrifice among the youth of Bangladesh has surprised the global community. Yet, India continues to spread false claims that minorities are being oppressed in Bangladesh.

He claimed there is no oppression.

The real oppression is happening in India.

In Delhi, the police attacked Muslim worshippers during Friday prayers, kicking them and pushing them down.

Rizvi continued: ‘If we measure it based on values, the patriotism, national pride and commitment of the people of Bangladesh to protect their sovereignty is much stronger. Your weapons and military strength can’t be the measure of this.”

Rizvi questioned the agitation of Indian leaders, suggesting it stemmed from their long-standing opposition to Sheikh Hasina’s downfall and their misalignment of interests with Bangladesh under her leadership.

He mentioned that Sheikh Hasina sought Delhi’s protection, aware she could not win a free and fair election.

He further added: “It was mentioned that Sheikh Hasina had said her actions towards India would be remembered by them for life. This is why some Indian policymakers and political parties are now restless.”

Rizvi also addressed the interim government, saying: “Political power must be immediately handed over to the rightful authorities. The free and fair election that was previously blocked must be ensured. Sheikh Hasina held elections at night, elections with no voters. We must act to prevent this from happening again. This is the responsibility of your interim government.”
