A Correspondent, Gazipur:

Robbers hacked a bkash agent and hurled crude bombs before they escaped with a bag full of money in Kaliakair upazila in Gazipur.

The victim, Saiful Islam, later claimed that the bag contained Tk10 lakh.

Kaliakair Police Station OC Riyad Hossain said Saiful, who owns a bKash shop in Shafipur Bazar and a resident of Rangartek, was returning home after closing his shop when he came under the attack on Shafipur Bazar road.

Quoting witnesses, the OC said that a group of 5–7 miscreants attacked Saiful wih sharp weapon and snatched the bag he was carrying. Upon hearing his cries for help, locals rushed to the scene, but the robbers detonated three crude bombs to create panic and fled in a private car with the bag full of money.
