The Students Against Discrimination (SAD) Movement is going to start a new program. The organization’s ‘Resistance Week’ program will continue for a week. It is said that this program will start from 3 pm on Tuesday (August 13).
Abu Bakar Majumder, one of the coordinators of the SAD Movement, confirmed this in an SMS around 11:30 am on Tuesday (August 13). “The resistance week is going to start from Tuesday,” he said.
Earlier in the morning, Abu Bakar Majumder announced the week-long program and sent a notice to the media. In this, as the place and time of Tuesday’s program, the pedestal of Raju Memorial Sculpture in TSC at Dhaka University at 3 pm was fixed.
Besides, four claims are mentioned. They are –
- A Special Tribunal must be set up to ensure speedy trial of the murders committed by the fascist Hasina and her party and government using the fascist structure.
- Awami League and its allies in the Grand Alliance on the minorities in an attempt to debunk the mass uprising through planned killings, robberies, and looting should bring the participants to justice and accept the legitimate demands of the minorities.
- Those in the administration and judiciary who have legitimized the attacks, prosecutions, and killings of the mass uprisings of students-public and are repeatedly trying to re-establish the fascist system, must be removed and brought to justice as soon as possible and their appointments to the new government must be canceled.
- Equality of opportunity should be ensured at the earliest for those who have been discriminated against in the administration and judiciary.
