Salman Khan schooled Arhaan Khan and his friends for not speaking Hindi on their podcast, saying, ‘You should be ashamed’. He also quizzed them on their career goals and purpose behind the podcast.
Actor Salman Khan joined his nephew Arhaan Khan on the finale episode of his podcast, Dumb Biryani. During the conversation, Salman urged Arhaan, son of Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora, and his friends, Dev Raiyani and Arush Verma, to speak in Hindi to cater to their audience. However, he was surprised when one of them admitted they were not fluent in Hindi.
During the podcast, Salman asked Arhaan and his friends about their reason for starting the show. When they replied that it was “just a passing passion” and “a way to create memories for themselves,” the Dabangg actor advised, “You guys should first do all of this in Hindi.”
However, one of Arhaan’s friends responded, “Hindi inn logon ko aata nahi hai (These guys don’t know Hindi),” while another confirmed, “My Hindi is very poor.” Salman then assured them that he would help correct their Hindi, leaving Arhaan in splits.
As they continued joking about their lack of fluency, Salman told them, “You should be ashamed that you do not know Hindi. You have to cater to a Hindi-speaking audience.” Taking a dig at their earlier comment about doing the podcast just for themselves, the 59-year-old actor sarcastically added, “But you are doing it for yourself, right, and not to show to anyone?”
As Arhaan and his friends laughed hesitantly, Salman pressed further, “Will you make money out of this (the podcast)?” He then continued questioning them about their career choices.
Earlier, Arhaan hosted his parents, Arbaaz and Malaika, on his podcast. He studied filmmaking in the US and has previously assisted Karan Johar on a film project.
