The body of a missing schoolboy was recovered at Shaibal Point of Cox’s Bazar beach on Monday.

The body was recovered around 1 pm from the city’s Samitipara beach on Monday, said Mohammed Osman, in-charge of Sea Safe Lifeguard.

The dead Azmainul Haque, 12, son of Kamrul Haque of PT School area of ​​Cox’s Bazar Municipality, was a sixth grade student at Cox’s Bazar Technical School and College.

Sea Safe Lifeguard in charge Mohammad Osman said some boys ran away from school and came to the beach to play football in the morning. After the football game, the two disappeared while taking a bath at the beach. One of them was rescued by friends and fishermen. The body of Azmainul Haque was recovered from Samitipara around noon.

Cox’s Bazar Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Faizul Azim confirmed it.
