Upazila BNP in Shahzadpur on Tuesday brought out a victory procession that marched main streets in the upazila headquarters marking one-year anniversary of the July-August student uprising.

Shahjadpur Upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations organized the programme with the leadership of Professor Dr. MA Muhith.

After the victory procession, a discussion meeting was held there. Professor Dr. MA Muhith, former Upazila BNP president Md. Iqbal Hossain Hiru, former General Secretary Md. Arifuzzan Arif, former Senior Vice President Md. Abdul Jabbar, former Organizing Secretary Amir Hossain Sabuj, former Municipal BNP president Emdadul Haque Nowshad and former Upazila BNP organizing secretary Rezaul Islam Raja among others spoke on the occasion.

Dr. MA Muhith said that, after 17 years of oppression, the dictator government fell on this day last year due to the mass uprising of students and the public. The people of Bangladesh have been freed from the hands of the dictator government. The people of my native Upazila Shahjadpur have been freed. I have been with the people of Shahjadpur before and I will still be there, InshaAllah.
