Shakib Khan believes in work like me. He answers all sarcasm with his work. I respect him from this point. Jaya Ahsan, the popular actor of both Bengals, said this in an interview with an Indian media outlet.

The actor tells about the current works and beyond to the media. How is the work situation in Bangladesh? In reply to the question, the actor said, “Yes, there is a lot of work going on. My first series ‘Jimmy’ was released in a very short time. A movie I produced was released in Dhaka. “Tandov”, “Utsav” were released on Eid. Star actors from Bangladesh have acted in both movies. A lot of work has been done around Eid in our country.”

Is it only Shakib Khan’s rule in Dhallywood? The Bangladeshi film industry is very much under his influence…. In this context, Jaya said, “Shakib Khan himself has improved. He has a lot of fans. They love him from the bottom of his heart. Look, there will be troubles in life. Shakib answers everything with his own work. I have seen it myself. He believes in action like me. I respect him in this regard.”

Is storytelling decreasing in cinema? The actress said, “As a cultural activist, I have to admit that storytelling has decreased. The number of actors has decreased. The audience is seeing the same faces again and again. Some new faces have come, they seem to have disappeared somewhere….  We don’t really know how to leave space. We also have to leave space. I have brought two new actresses in the two films I have produced. We have to take more challenges. We are trying to play a sure shot by taking a very short cut.”

“For example, it is assumed that someone is a famous actress, has a box office…?  So we have to take her. We have to create the actress ourselves. We will create the box office. Why should only male-centric works be done? Do women really have no impact on the box office. Then men would have worked alone. Let there be women-centric films. Let’s make them bigger”, she added.

About the betterment of Bengali movie, the versatile actor said, “In the subcontinent, audience can watch all kinds of movies. If the subject matter of the movie is not good, no one will watch that movie anymore. This is our failure, we are not able to show good movies to the audience. We need to create something new in Bengali and show it. We need to send movies to film festivals. This is how movies made in Bengali language should be taken forward.”
