Bangladeshi star pacer Shoriful Islam is set to play for Kandy Falcons as the replacement of Pakistan’s Mohammad Ali in the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL).

Shoriful was left out during the LPL players’ draft, but Pakistan pacer’s immediate injury has paved his way into Lanka’s franchise tournament. He is set to join the team on Wednesday.

Shoriful has played for Colombo Strikers in the previous edition of LPL. The young pacer will be joined by Wanindu Hasaranga, Mohammad Hasnain, Andre Fletcher, Dasun Shanaka in Kandy.

Kandy has played two matches in the ongoing tournament and secured one win and a defeat.
