“Bondhugo Shono”, the latest song from the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr release “Jongli”, was unveiled via Tiger Media’s official YouTube channel, offering a glimpse into the on-screen romance between Shobnom Bubly and Siam Ahmed.

Scheduled to hit theatres this Eid, “Jongli”—helmed by director M Rahim, has been steadily creating buzz with the release of its poster, teaser, and earlier tracks.

The song’s visuals were filmed in Manikganj, just outside Dhaka.

Taking to Facebook, composer Prince Mahmud wrote, “Director Rahim and the ‘Jongli’ team wanted a sweet, classic ’90s-style romantic duet. I tried to deliver that in my own way. Hopefully, it resonates with listeners.”

In an effort to generate further interest around the film, the cast and crew have taken to various promotional strategies.

Bubly, embracing her character from the film, appeared on social media dressed in a lungi.

Sharing a few stills in the unconventional look, she captioned, “Hey guys, how about watching ‘Jongli’ in a lungi?” Her look quickly sparked discussions online, with many praising the actress for her playful take on promotion.

Speaking about the new film, Bubly shared, “I’m extremely excited. This is my first time working with director Rahim bhai. I’m confident that the audience is in for something special. The poster and teaser have already hinted at a sense of mystery—let that intrigue continue. I can say with confidence that ‘Jongli’ offers a completely unique story and presentation. Audiences will be impressed.”

Director M Rahim shared, “Given the nature of the story in ‘Jongli’, Bubly was the perfect match opposite Siam. Both Siam and Bubly, along with the rest of the cast, have delivered commendable performances. We hope to offer something remarkable this Eid.”

The song “Bondhugo Shono” has been sung by Kona and Imran.
