Sirajganj District BNP has launched its membership renewal activities amidst a festive mood.
Ikbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Member of BNP’s National Standing Committee and former State Minister for Power inaugurated the activities formally at Bhasani Auditorium in the town on Saturday noon.
The BNP leader executed all the process firstly to renew his membership. Later, senior leaders filled up the renewal forms after collecting at a symbolic price (Tk 20 each).
During the programme, Tuku said, “Today is a joyful day for Sirajganj BNP as they are going to renew their membership after a long time. It is the first sign of party’s reorganization. The party is now desire to give highly priority to the female members with the view to make them empowered.”
He asked the female leaders and activists to participate in the renewal activities with joy. He also warned the Awami League men not to try to engage themselves in BNP by any forgery. If someone helps Awami League men, he or she will face drastic action, he said.
The programme was presided over by BNP’s former President Jahangir Hossain Bhuiyan Selim, while former Parliament Member Rumana Mahmud and General Secretary Saidur Rahman Bachchu among others were also present in the event.
