Content creator Ashraful Alam, who self-proclaimed himself as Hero Alam, has been arrested by the police. He was taken into custody on Saturday afternoon by Hatirjheel Police following a case filed by his wife Riya Moni.

According to the Hatirjheel Police, Hero Alam has been placed in police custody as part of the ongoing investigation into the case. Police said he was wanted in a case with an arrest warrant.

Hatirjheel Police Station duty officer Sub-Inspector Dhowat said, “Hero Alam is a warrant-listed accused. He was arrested this morning in the Hatirjheel area. After the arrest, he was sent to court.”

Earlier on Wednesday (12 November), Dhaka’s Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Wahiduzzaman issued an arrest warrant against Hero Alam.

Before that, his wife, Riya Moni, filed a case with DMP’s Hatirjheel Police Station, accusing him of attempted murder, assault, and intimidation. Another man, Ahsan Habib Selim, was also named as an accused in the case. The court has issued an arrest warrant for him as well.
