TDS Desk:
Former Brigadier General (dismissed) Abdullahil Aman Azmi, son of Jamaat-e-Islami’s former emir Professor Ghulam Azam, was recently released from the detention center ‘Aynaghar’ of a special intelligence agency of the country after 8 years.
After his release, he gave his first speech through a virtual video press briefing from the hospital on Tuesday (September 3).
Abdullahil Aman Azmi recalled that day and said, “I spent 6 to 7 days just eating bread and tea in the Aynaghar.”
He said, I was not physically tortured in there. Last August 21, around 11:50 pm, someone came to me and said that one of our elder brothers (senior officers) want to talk with me.
Azmi said, That elder brother said that an incident was supposed to happen but it did not happen. It’s time for your release.
It should be noted that on August 23, 2016, the then Brigadier General Abdullahil Aman Azmi was reported missing by his family members.
