A memorial meeting along with Doa Mahfil was held at the Bhashani auditorium in Sirajganj town on Monday marking the first death anniversary of District Sramik Dal President Late Abdul Majid Sarkar.

District Sramik Dal Acting President Bisha Sheikh presided over the programme, while District BNP General Secretary Saidur Rahman Bachchu attended there as chief guest.

District BNP Vice-President Maqbul Hossain Chowdhury, Azizur Rahman Dulal, Senior Joint General Secretary VP Shamim Khan, Organizing Secretary Mirza Mostofa Zaman, Alamgir Hossain Alam, former President of town BNP Selim Bhuiyan, former General Secretary Munshi Zahed Alam, General Secretary MA Wahab, District Tanti Dal General Secretary Hasiur Rahman Hasi, District Chhatra Dal President Junaid Hossain Sabuj, General Secretary Serajul Islam Seraj and others also spoke at the event.

Earlier in the morning, the holy Quran was recited and the grave was visited to pray for the forgiveness of the deceased’s soul.
