Staff Reporter:
With the progression of day, the rush of traffic started to increase on the streets in Sirajganj town on Wednesday as the life started returning to normalcy.
But, there were no traffic police on the streets and different important intersections in the town. To avert chaos on the roads, a section of students including members of Red Crescents came down on the streets to control the transports’ movement.
The students from several educational institutions took position at different points on the streets and lent their helping hands with a view to make the vehicular movements smooth and safe.
During a spot visit to Muktaplaza, Chowrasta intersection and also in front of press club, The Daily Sky Correspondent found that, a number of students were helping the commuters, vehicle drivers and rickshaw pullers taking the responsibility like traffic police and requesting to the bikers not to ride without helmet. The students were also found to clean roads and different areas, which were filled up with rubbishes.
Watching the services of students, the towns-dwellers congratulated them.
