Sky Entertainment:

Popular actor of this generation Sariful Islam Razz is going to star opposite Tollywood actress Swastika Mukherjee and Ashna Habib Bhabna in an upcoming dark thriller titled “Alta Banu Jochsna Dekheni” under the direction of Himu Akram.

Director Himu Akram told the media that three of them have already signed an agreement to act in the movie.

It was announced that Indian actress Swastika Mukherjee signed the film in June last year. The project, which already featured Razz, has now officially added Bhabna to its cast.

On Wednesday, Bhabna signed her contract for the film and shared her excitement on Facebook, posting a photo of the signing and writing, “I can’t wait to work with my favourite actress, Swastika Mukherjee.”

Himu Akram revealed that it is a dark thriller movie. The film will weave together tales from three different regions, eventually converging into a single storyline.

Director said, “Starting from old Dhaka, the story will go to Saidpur railway junction and will end at Ashtagram Haor. As the three periods will be shown in the story, so the look of the hero is also subject to some variations. That’s why I was looking for someone for almost 8 months. Finally found Sariful Razz.

Swastika Mukherjee will take on the title role of Altabanu. Describing the character, Himu Akram said, “Altabanu is the daughter of a middle-class family in old Dhaka, who is mentally unstable and often has to be restrained with iron chains. She speaks through her eyes. Swastika’s intense look perfectly matches the essence of the character. I knew she would be an ideal fit, and we finalised our agreement with her a year ago.”

“On the other hand, Sariful Razz alone will play the three characters–Premchand, Sujan Mia and Muinul Hossain in this movie. It is actually three forms of one person, yet they are completely different from one another,” said director Himu Akram.

However, Himu Akram expressed concerns about the current political situation in the country, which might cause delays. “Our preparations are complete, and we’re ready to start filming. Since Swastika will be coming from Kolkata, we need to secure her work permit and visa. Given the present circumstances, this process could be challenging. We will wait and see. If Swastika’s visa and work permit come through, we will proceed with the shoot. We have planned for the entire shoot to take place in September.”

Being produced by Bengal Multimedia, the film “Altabanu Jochhona Dekheni”, also stars Iresh Zaker, Mamunur Rashid, Sohail Mondal, Salahuddin Lavlu, Iresh Zaker, Mihi Ahsan, Elora Gohor and others.

Directed by Himu Akram, the screenplay is a collaboration between Akram, Mohammad Nazim ud Daula, and Mohammad Nazim Uddin.
