Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal passed a fitness test on Wednesday that paved his way to take part in the upcoming National Cricket League (NCL) T20.
Tamim is all set to return to competitive cricket with the upcoming NCL T20 tournament, scheduled from Dec 11 to Dec 23.
Tamim, who is yet to retire from Tests and ODIs, last played competitive cricket in the previous edition of Dhaka Premier League (DPL), the country’s traditional list A tournament in May this year.
“Yes, he passed the fitness test and can take part in the NCL T20,” a BCB official confirmed to Daily Sun on Thursday. Many feel that Tamim is looking to prepare for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) through the NCL.
