BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is set to visit Sirajganj and Tangail on Saturday. His trip has sparked widespread enthusiasm and excitement among party leaders and activists in both districts.
According to Sirajganj BNP, he will attend an election rally at the BISIC Industrial Park ground in Paikpara under Sirajganj Sadar on his way back to Dhaka from Bogura.
The venue has already been prepared in Paikpara, and the district is in a festive mood ahead of his arrival. Alongside party leaders and supporters, ordinary people are also eagerly waiting to welcome him. Security measures have been tightened throughout the district.
As part of his election campaign in Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions, Tarique Rahman will introduce BNP candidates for six parliamentary constituencies in Sirajganj during Saturday’s rally.
After the rally, his next destination will be Tangail, where he will address another rally around 4pm as the chief guest at an open field near the Darun-Charjana bypass along the Jamuna Bridge–Tangail–Dhaka highway.
Tangail BNP leaders and activists are eagerly awaiting the chance to see their leader up close, as he is visiting the district for the first time in 21 years. Party sources say this will be his first political rally in the district.
Extensive preparations have been made by Tangail BNP ahead of his visit. The rally venue has been selected and inspected several times, with overall supervision carried out under the guidance of the party’s central publicity secretary and BNP candidate for Tangail-5 (Sadar), Sultan Salauddin Tuku.
The arrangements include over a hundred microphones, a large stage, and other major setups. In addition, a special preparatory meeting with party activists was held on Thursday night.
