Acting BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has warned that supporters of the fallen dictatorship are conspiring to undermine the hard-earned victory of the student movement, urging party leaders to remain vigilant against these threats.

On Saturday, during a continuous series of discussions with grassroots leaders and activists from the Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, Tarique Rahman emphasised the need for caution.

He said that the downfall of dictatorship represents the triumph of the democracy-loving people’s long struggle. However, he warned that the remnants of that dictatorship are now working covertly to question this victory.

“An invisible enemy is more dangerous than a visible one,” Rahman said. “We know our visible adversaries and their attack patterns, but invisible enemies are unknown and can strike from anywhere with sneaky tactics.”

He asked grassroots leaders and activists to stay alert at all times to counter these conspiracies. Rahman said that with vigilance, no conspirator can tarnish the party’s reputation.

He also called for unity and maximum alertness within the party to resist visible and invisible forces working against the BNP.
