he newly formed Income Tax Intelligence and Investigation Unit has uncovered revenue evasion worth Tk 1874 crore in the preliminary investigation of tax evasion of 183 individuals/organisations based on intelligence activities in the seven months since December last year.
Tk 117.43 crore has already been recovered from 63 individuals/organisations through 231 A-challans and deposited in the state treasury, said the authorities this week.
Despite various adversities, according to the NBR, the newly formed Income Tax Intelligence and Investigation Unit has achieved significant success.
