Memo submitted to press home demands

A human chain was formed at the Upazila Parishad Chattar in Belkuchi of Sirajganj district under the banner of upazila non-government secondary education family on Tuesday morning demanding removal of discriminations in the education sector.

Teachers from several non-government secondary educational institutions in the upazila took part in the human chain and demanded nationalization of the non-government secondary educational institutions, keeping shut posting of government schools’ teachers to different posts of education administration and forming education reform commission with the view to removal of all discrimination in the educational sector.

Nazrul Islam, Headmaster of Sohagpur Pilot Girls High School, Rubia Sultana, Headmaster of Latifa Shahjahan Girls High School, Abul Hossain, Senior Teacher of Gaber Para DB Fazil Madrasah, Mehedi Masood, Headmaster of Alhaz Siddique High School, teacher Abdur Sabur Khan and Kabir Hossain spoke in the event.

Later, the teachers’ leaders submitted a memorandum to the Education Advisor via local Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Afia Sultana Keya to implement their demands.
