The temperature in Panchagarh had fluctuated between 13 degrees Celsius for three days. However, on Thursday morning, the temperature in the country’s northernmost district dropped to 12 degrees Celsius.

The district’s temperature was recorded at 12.2 degrees Celsius at 6 am by the Tetulia Meteorological Observatory office.

The officer-in-charge of the Tetulia Meteorological Observatory, Panchagarh, Russell Shah, gave this information.

He said that although the minimum temperature of the season was recorded at 13 degrees for the last three days, the temperature dropped further to 12.2 degrees Celsius at 6 am on Thursday. Now, the temperature will continue to drop further as the day goes on.

Local vegetable farmers Daraj Uddin and Amjad Ali said that winter has arrived. When I go to land to pick leaves and cauliflower, coriander leaves, gourds, and pumpkin in the morning, I feel cold. When I touch the dew on the leaves of the trees, it makes my hands numb.

Some housewives said that the cold is increasing gradually.

Van drivers Mahir, Sayed Ali, and Amir Ali said that it is quite cold from night to morning. The cold has increased day by day. It feels very cold when I go out with the van in the morning. It feels bitterly cold before the month of Paush arrives.
