Last chance to fight in the series. But the West Indies batsmen are beating again. Like the previous two ODIs, they have come under fire from the Bangladeshi bowlers.

Bangladesh threw a big target of 298 runs in front of the visitors at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Sagarika, Chittagong. West Indies lost 4 wickets for 79 runs in reply.

The Caribbeans were pushed from the start by chasing the run. Mostafizur Rahman hit the last ball of the second over of the innings. Mushfiqur Rahim took an easy catch behind the wicket as Caribbean opener Kejorn Otley (1) stabbed him for not understanding a delivery.

West Indies lost their first wicket by 6 runs. Another opener Sunil Embris also returned to the dressing room with 30 runs in the sixth over. Mostafiz also took this wicket. He became the Caribbean batsman with 13 runs off 14 balls. With this, Embris has been the victim of Mostafiz in three matches of the series.

The West Indies quickly lost two wickets. However, the work did not work. Kyle Myers was dismissed for 18 off 39 balls with Enkroma Bonner in the third wicket.

Meyers became lbw after missing Mehdi Hasan Miraj’s spin delivery, playing 11 balls and scoring 11 runs. West Indies lost 3 wickets in 46 runs.

Captain Jason Mohammed and Bonner, however, put up some resistance in the fourth wicket. They added 32 runs in 75 balls. Mohammad Saifuddin finally broke the tie in the 24th over. The pacer caught Mohammad (18) behind the wicket.

At the time of writing, West Indies had scored 79 runs for the loss of 4 wickets at the end of 23.1 overs. Rowman Powell has come to the wicket as the new batsman. Bonner is unbeaten on 26 runs.

Earlier, after losing the toss and opting to bat, four Pandavs Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah Riyad scored 296 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the half-century.

The Tigers are 2-0 up in the three-match ODI series. Winning today will complete the whitewash mission. Tamim Iqbal’s team will also grab the full 30 points of the ODI Super League.(Source: Online)
