The winners from Ducsu polls 2025

In the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) election, 471 candidates contested 28 posts. The election commission announced the final results on Wednesday around 8:00am at the Dhaka University Senate building.

Shadik Kayem was elected vice-president, leading a panel that secured key positions across the union.

SM Farhad Hossain won the post of general secretary with 10,794 votes, while Muhammad Mohiuddin Khan was elected assistant general secretary, receiving 11,772 votes.

Fatema Tasnim Juma was elected liberation war and democratic movement secretary with 10,631 votes, and Umme Salma won the common room, reading room and cafeteria secretary post with 9,920 votes.

Other secretaries elected include Jashimuddin Khan as international affairs secretary (9,706 votes), Musaddiq Ali Ibne Mohammad as literature and culture secretary (7,782 votes), Md Iqbal Haider as science and technology secretary (7,833 votes), Sanjida Ahmed Tonni as research and publications secretary (11,778 votes), Arman Hossain as sports secretary (7,255 votes), Asif Abdullah as student transport secretary (9,061 votes), Zubair Bin Nesary as social welfare secretary (7,608 votes), MM Al Minhaz as health and environment secretary (7,038 votes), Md Jakaria as human rights and legal secretary (11,747 votes), and Md Mazharul Islam as career development secretary (9,344 votes).

The election also saw 13 executive members chosen. Sabikunnahar Tamanna led the votes among executives with 10,084, followed by Sorbo Mitra Chakma (8,988), Imran Hossain (6,256), Mosammat Afsana Akter (5,747), Tazinur Rahman (5,690), Raihan Uddin (5,082), Md Miftahul Hossain Al Maruf (5,015), Anas Ibn Munir (5,015), Hema Chakma (4,908), Md Belal Hossain Apu (4,865), Md Raisul Islam (4,535), Md Shahinur Rahman (4,390), and Umma Uswatun Rafia (4,209).
