Three more people died from dengue in the 24 hours till 8:00 am on Tuesday, while 425 were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the total death toll has reached 51 since the beginning the year, and total hospitalisations have hit 13,188.

Last year, 575 people died from the viral disease and 1,01,214 were admitted to different hospitals across the country.

The year of 2023 was the deadliest in the country’s history of dengue endemic. Total, 1,705 people died in the year, and 3,21,179 were admitted to hospitals.
