Bollywood is all set to witness a brand-new on-screen pairing as Janhvi Kapoor and Tiger Shroff team up for the first time in Lag Jaa Gale, an upcoming film directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Karan Johar.

Known for his successful feel-good films like Good Newwz and Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Mehta is stepping into a different genre with this ambitious revenge action drama that also weaves in a strong romantic storyline, reports filmfare.com.

As per a report by Pinkvilla, the title Lag Jaa Gale was finalized after much deliberation, as it best reflects the emotional and action-packed nature of the film.

“Raj has been working on this script for a while and envisioned a fresh pair to bring it to life,” a source told the portal. “After narrating the story to both Tiger and Janhvi, they immediately came on board.”

The film is scheduled to go on floors in October 2025, aligning with both actors’ current filming schedules.

Tiger Shroff is currently shooting for Baaghi 4, while Janhvi Kapoor is wrapping up work on Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Param Sundari.

Fans of action cinema can expect some high-intensity, never-before-seen sequences, especially crafted for Tiger, who continues to raise the bar with each film.

With its fresh pairing, compelling mix of love and revenge, and Raj Mehta’s new directorial direction, Lag Jaa Gale is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of next year.
