Nigar Sultana Joty scored an unbeaten 59-ball 83 as Bangladesh posted their highest-ever WODI against Scotland in an ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday.
The Tigresses posted 276-6, surpassing their previous best of 271-3 scored against Thailand last week, as they look for their third win in the tournament.
Fargana Hoque (57 off 84 balls) and Sharmin Akhter (57 off 79 balls) also scored half-centuries and the duo together a 103-run stand after the loss of opener Ishma Tanjim (14 off 29 balls). Fahima Khatun, who scored a 22-ball 26, finished off the innings on a high with the help of Joty.
