Toll of Tk 2.5 cr collected from Bangabandhu Bridge in 24 hrs

The government earned around Tk2.5 crore in revenue through tolls from the vehicles that crossed the Bangabandhu Bridge in 24 hours till 12 am Sunday.
Bangabandhu Bridge site office executive engineer Ahsanul Kabir Pavel confirmed the matter on Monday morning (June 10).
The concerned sources said 25,267 vehicles crossed the bridge from Saturday night to Sunday night. The bridge authorities earned Tk2,40,14050 during the period.
Ahsanul Kabir Pavel said the pressure of livestock and goods vehicles on the highway has increased ahead of the Eid. That’s why the toll collection has increased. However, the traffic is normal.
