In Short

Tom Cruise might be performing a high octane stunt at Paris Olympics closing ceremony

He apparently proposed the stunts to the International Olympic Committee to link the Paris and LA Games

The actor will be seen skydiving to the Hollywood sign with the Olympic torch

Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, 62, is reportedly all set to perform a stunt at the Olympic closing ceremony in Paris on August 11. As Mayor Anne Hidalgo will hand the Olympic flag to LA Mayor Karen Bass, Cruise will rappel from the roof of the Stade de France to the field with the flag. There are rumours that a stunt double might be used.

The broadcast will then switch to a pre-recorded segment showing Cruise flying from France to LA and then skydiving to the Hollywood sign. He will then pass the flag to athletes, including a cyclist, skateboarder, and volleyball player, who will wave it around the host city for the 2028 Games.

According to a report in TMZ, the filming for this sequence took place earlier in March. Pictures of him descending the Hollywood sign were on the Internet, but no one got the whiff that it might be related to the Olympics.
