Bangladeshi dramas remain a cherished part of Eid celebrations, with the entire festive week devoted to their engaging presence on screen. In recent years, heartfelt family sagas have dominated screens along with romantic comedies, winning the hearts of viewers nationwide. With a mix of seasoned icons and new talents, anticipation is high for this Eid-ul-Azha’s small-screen offerings. Let’s explore the lineup of much-awaited Bengali dramas that promise to make the festive season of Kubani Eid in 2025 even more memorable.

KHOTIPURON: Directed by Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Raj and written by Siddiq Ahmed, this drama quietly emerges as one of the most emotionally layered offerings this Eid. The drama marks the second work of Malaika Chowdhury, sister of popular actor Mehazabien Chowdhury, on the small screen. This time, she shares the frame with Yash Rohan, creating a fresh on-screen pairing that viewers will be eager to explore.

Releasing on Cinemawala’s YouTube channel, the play, namely Khotipuron’s plot detail, remains tightly under wraps.

It also features a talented ensemble including Nader Chowdhury, Monira Akter Mithu, Rashed Mamun Apu, Sushoma Sarkar, MNU Raju, Shomu Chowdhury, Sharif Farzana Bushra, and Aymon Shimla.

CAFE-TE BHALOBASHA: Tania Brishty and Partho Sheikh come together in this heartfelt adaptation of a story by contemporary writer Shafik Riyan. Directed by Anisur Rahman Rajib, the production presents youthful emotions.

Shamim Molla, Anwar Shah, Moushika, Maria Tabassum, and Aparna Arnna round out the supporting cast.

BOHEMIAN GHORA: From the intensity of ‘OC Harun’ in “Mohanagar” to the philosophical depth of “Mobaraknama”, Mosharraf Karim has long held audiences captive on Hoichoi. This time, however, he returns in an unexpected form. Under the direction of Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, he steps into the shoes of Abbas, a truck driver with comedic misadventures.

Opposing him is an ensemble of versatile actresses, including Tanzika Amin, Runa Khan, Moushumi Hamid, Sadia Ayman, Jui Karim, Farhana Hamid, Aditi, and Brishti.

A SECRET OF SHIULI: Helmed by Rafat Majumder Rinku, this drama highlights a female-centred narrative with quiet confidence. What makes it more intriguing is the fresh pairing of Tanjin Tisha and Mir Rabbi, who appear together on screen for the first time. Their presence, alongside seasoned names like Shahiduzzaman Selim and Rosy Siddiqui, sets the stage for something memorable.

The drama is scheduled for release on Banglavision Drama’s YouTube channel during the upcoming Eid.

SONGSAR BISHER BORI: Penned by Sujit Biswas and brought to life by director Taifur Jahan Asik, this family-centred piece explores the elusive nature of happiness within domestic life.

Mosharraf Karim and Tasnuva Tisha lead the cast, drawing viewers into a world where contentment always seems just out of reach. Joy often exists in plain sight, quietly present yet frequently overlooked. Inner doubt tends to obscure what is already within reach, leaving contentment unnoticed.

MAYADOR: Centred around familial emotions with a grounded narrative style, this drama (natok) excels with Imraul Rafat as its director. Shamol Mawla, Tanjin Tisha, Partho Sheikh, Aisha Khan, Shomu Chowdhury, and Chitralekha Guha embody the lead characters.

Set to premiere on Club Eleven’s YouTube channel, the story is poised to reflect the bonds and dynamics within family life.

PURNOTAY TUMI: Niloy Alamgir and Jannatul Sumaiya Heme mark a fresh step in Chayanika Chowdhury’s directorial journey. This is her first project with the duo, scripted by Iffat Arefin Mahmood and produced by Telehome.

The cast also includes Saberi Alam, Abhishek Sohag, and Tuntuni, who collectively bring depth to a story.
