Training workshop for Hajj pilgrims held in Sirajganj

A day-long training workshop for Hajj pilgrims was held on Tuesday in the district with the participation of individuals traveling under both government and private management.

Islamic Foundation and the district administration jointly organised the workshop at the district Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center adjacent to Khan Saheb’s Field in Sirajganj Municipality.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nazrul Islam inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest with Mohammad Faruk Ahmed, Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation Sirajganj, in the chair.

In his speech, the chief guest emphasized the importance of acquiring proper knowledge of Islamic Shariah, Quran and Hadith before undertaking the sacred journey of Hajj.

He said that such training is essential for pilgrims to understand all necessary rules, regulations, and health precautions.

The event was addressed, among others by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Rozina Akhter, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Monowar Hossain, Shaheed M. Mansur Ali Medical College Principal Dr. Kamrul Hasan Parvez, Civil Surgeon’s Office Medical Officer Dr. Riazul Islam, Islamic Foundation Field Supervisor Mohiuddin and District Model Mosque Khatib Hafez Maulana Tariqul Islam.

At the end of the training workshop, Pesh Imam and Khatib Maulana Mufti Abdullah Sarkar of the Central Jama Masjid led a special prayer seeking peace, prosperity and welfare of the country.
