Travel bans have been imposed on former army Chief General Aziz Ahmed and his wife Dilshad Nahar Kakuli.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge’s Court judge Mohammed Ash-Shams Joglul Hossain passed the orders on Thursday after the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) submitted an application seeking a travel ban on the couple.

ACC Public Prosecutor Mahmud Hossain Jahangir moved the petition on behalf of the ACC.

After hearing, the judge passed this order.

A lot of corruption allegations have been made against General Aziz Ahmed.

Almost three years after his retirement, the United States imposed sanctions on him for alleged involvement in corruption.
