The Social Agency for Welfare and Advancement in Bangladesh (SAWAB), an organization on Tuesday distributed and planted various species of saplings among 150 students of Deraganti Rudrapur Government Primary School in Chandaikona Union of Raiganj upazila. The trees include fruit, forest and medicinal.

School teachers, students and volunteers Md. Yusuf Ali, S. M. Bahadur Ali Md. Jamirul Islam, Nayeem and others were present in the programme. At that time, a discussion on the need for tree plantation was held.

Animesh Chandra Das, Assistant Teacher of Rudrapur Government Primary School in Deraganti said, “Through social and humanitarian work in the area, an organization called SAWAB has gained good recognition among the people. I applaud them. In the present time, the need for tree plantation to maintain environmental balance is immense. Therefore, distributing tree saplings is a timely and good initiative.”
