Truck accident kills driver and pedestrian in Jashore

JASHORE CORRESPONDENT:
A pedestrian along with the driver of a truck was killed when the speeding truck collided with an electric pole in Monirampur Upazila of Jashore.
The accident took place at Badhaghata area of Jessore-Chuknagar highway around 7:30 am on Monday.
The deceased are Abdur Rahman, a resident of Bandaghata village and the truck driver’s identity is not yet known.
According to local sources, a truck laden with water tanks was heading from Jashore to Khulna Chuknagar around 7:30 am. The truck lost control and hit an electric pole in Manirampur’s Bandaghata area. Then the truck crushed over pedestrian Abdur Rahman. The truck driver himself also died on the spot.
Manirampur Police Station OC ABM Mehdi Masun said two people were killed in a truck crash in the Badhaghata area of Manirampur .
