A driver was killed when a truck loaded with mangoes hit another rice laden truck from behind at Sahebganj Bazar area of ​​Raiganj upazila in Sirajganj district on Thursday.

The deceased driver, Himel, 24, is a resident of Gabura village in Dinajpur Sadar.

Hatikumrul Highway Police Station OC Abdur Rouf said that, the truck loaded with mangoes hit the damaged truck loaded with rice from behind. Driver Himel was seriously injured in the accident. He was taken to Shaheed M Mansur Ali Medical College Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. Both trucks have been seized.

Meanwhile, on the same day, a truck loaded with mangoes from Rajshahi to Dhaka lost control and crashed into a tree in Khalkula area of ​​Tarash upazila of Sirajganj. Although a huge amount of mangoes were damaged, there was no casualty.
