Sports Desk:
The flight carrying Bangladesh’s U-19 football team had to return to Kolkata, India, after failing to land in Dhaka due to inclement weather, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) media manager, Sadman Sakib, confirmed on Tuesday.
The Bangladesh team members, who finished as runners-up in the SAFF U-19 Championship following a 4-3 loss in a penalty shootout against hosts India on Sunday, were scheduled to land at Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 5:00pm. However, heavy rain forced IndiGo flight 6E 1105 to return to Kolkata, from where it had taken off.
BFF media manager Sakib informed that they would notify the media about the team’s revised arrival schedule.
