Mirza Mostofa Zaman, Organizing Secretary of Sirajganj District BNP and Advisory Editor of The Daily Sky said, “The incident of plane crash on the Milestone College in Dhaka’s Uttara is not only an accident, it is also a tragic reflection of our collective negligence.  Every school, college or educational institution should be under the highest security. Training aircraft should not be allowed to operate in densely populated areas. It is unacceptable that children who were cherishing their dreams for the future were killed in an instant.”

He came up with the remarks, while visiting the accident spot on Thursday.

He also said, “The government should pay attention on shifting the school to a safer place as soon as possible. At the same time, the government should conduct fair investigation into the matter and take necessary exemplary steps to avert further such as unwanted incident”

The BNP leader also urged the government to pay appropriate compensation and humanitarian assistances for the victims’ families.

“No other parent should have to face such cruel reality that a mother who sent her child to school in the morning will not return. Educational institutions are supposed to be a safe haven” he said to the media.

He prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased and the speedy recovery of the injured.

It is to be mentioned that, a training plane of the Bangladesh Civil Aviation Training Academy crashed on the grounds of Milestone College in Uttara at around 10:00 am on Monday. At least 31 persons including pilot, two trainees and students of the school were reportedly killed in the incident.
