Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said that vehicles will run on the Padma Bridge from 2022.

He said, “There was not the slightest lack of transparency in the construction of the Padma Multipurpose Bridge with its own funds and vehicles will run on the Padma Bridge from 2022.”

He was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting held at Setu Bhaban in Bananistha on Friday (December 16) morning after the celebration of Great Victory Day 2020 and the inauguration of the “Bangabandhu, Liberation War and Bangladesh” corner on Mujib’s centenary.

The Minister further said, “The nation is united today under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to carry out the promise of liberation war with the spirit of victory.”

At the same time, he called upon all to strengthen the hand of the Prime Minister to build a hunger-free, poverty-free and non-communal Bangladesh by eradicating communalism in this month of victory.
