Water level in 17 river stations rises, 95 falls: FFWC

Water levels at 17 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise while 95 stations recorded fall.

Among the 116 monitored river stations, water levels at four stations have remained steady while no stations are flowing above the danger level, a bulletin issued by the FFWC said on Saturday (June 14).

The water level of all major rivers is flowing below the danger level, read the bulletin.

The water level of the Brahmaputra-Jamuna Rivers is decreasing, which may continue decreasing for the next three days, may remain steady for the subsequent two days and may flow below the danger level, it added.

The water level of the Ganges-Padma rivers are decreasing, which may continue for the next five days and may flow below the danger level.

The water level of the Surma and the Kushiyara rivers is decreasing, which may continue for the next three days and may flow below the danger level.
