Sports Desk:
Former Bangladesh skipper Tamim Iqbal went to India two days before the start of the Bangladesh-India Test series. The southpaw left the country on a Biman Bangladesh flight on Tuesday morning.
The country’s best opener decided not to play in the 2023 ODI World Cup due to a conflict with the team management. Since then he has been out of the national team. Although not with the team, Tamim went to India for cricket reasons.
In the upcoming series, he will be seen as a Star Sports broadcasting channel commentator. In the past too, he has been seen holding the microphone in the commentary box. But this is the first time he will be seen commenting on an international match outside the country.
Tamim congratulated his teammates after Bangladesh’s historic Test series win over Pakistan in Rawalpindi. He wrote on his Facebook page, ‘This is just awesome 2-0 series win from 26/6! What an amazing comeback! Congratulations to the team it will be remembered for a long time.’
