Police recovered The body of a worker from a fish enclosure in Satkhira Sadar upazila on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahman Gazi, 45, son of the late Babar Gazi and a resident of Satkhira Sadar upazila.
According to deceased’s family members, Abdur Rahman had been working as a security guard of a fish enclosure at Gopinathpur area in the upazila. He had gone to duty the previous night. Early in the morning, locals found his body in a paddy field adjacent to the enclosure and informed police.
On information, police arrived at the spot and recovered the body.
The area had been surrounded with electric wires to prevent theft. Police suspect that he may have died from electric shock.
Satkhira Sadar police station officer-in-charge (OC) Shaminul Haque confirmed the death and said that the body has been sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Legal action will be taken in this regard, added the OC.
